ART OF DENVER IN THE PAST
My family has lived in Denver and Colorado since the 1880's. The city has changed so much over the last 100 years and so many of our beautiful old buildings have been sacrificed to make way for progress. I have been photographing old houses and building for years and in the 1980's I started doing watercolors and illustrations. I used pencil and watercolors for these pieces and I tried to show as many of the details as possible. I wanted people to see the buildings for the architectural beauties that are. I know many people love Denver and its older buildings so I decided to have prints made from the original watercolors.
My site is not very well known yet and I don't have a lot of viewers so things are pretty slow. I've decided to offer a deal on all 4 of the prints below. Buy all 4 prints for $160. and get free shipping in the USA. Plus I'll include free, the print "Lady in a phonebooth" The 5 prints total $290. so you save $130.
LIMITED EDITION PRINTS
These old buildings and downtown street scenes are printed on heavy acid free stock.
Each is hand signed and numbered. I used watercolors to do these but they are not done in a loose style. My intention was more to glorify the buildings so they more resemble old illustrations than modern watercolors.

Brass Repoussé
Repoussé is the art of embossing or pressing shapes into thin metal to form a design. I love the look of Repoussé even though they take a while to complete, they are rewarding when they come right. There are no molds or dies used in making these things. Each starts with a sketch on the metal and then the design is pressed into the metal with a variety of tools. I don't do much repousse nowadays but here are a couple examples that I did of Denver buildings.
