The D & F Tower

D & F Tower in Brass.JPG

D & F 8.JPG
Brass Repousse of the Daniels and Fisher Tower.

One of Denver's best known landmarks stands on the corner of 16th Street and Arapahoe. It was built in 1912 and was the tallest building in Denver at the time. Originally it was part of a much larger building that was once the home of "Daniels & Fisher Department Store".  I made this piece in 1990.  In order to get the detail I wanted, I made some parts separately and then soldered them on, the clocks hands are held on with a small rivet. There is a small ripple on the right side of the tower, it is not too distracting. Thin metal is unforgiving of any mistakes.

The Tower is 23 3/4" Tall.
